Er, mine is around 2MB, no posts, 9 members, etc. not opened yet

A little over 100 megs. It would be a little bigger but I've pruned it several times. 1453 members and fifty-somethin thousand posts.

mines like 200megs, and for some reason i just can't beleive that's right

is there another way to check? and a way to check if any tables are broken?

If you have phpMyAdmin, go to it and click on your database name on the left. At the bottom of the tables listing there's a total.
