What do + signs before someones name on the online users mean?

Hmm, there should be a key on the Who's Online browsing page. + = Buddy * = Invisible.

Well it wouldn't make sense to have a mod's/admin's name in bold/bold italic if it were to denote them

But a + really don't fit buddies. It should be *Buddy Name* or have them in color.

I agree.. + sign usually denotes an authority in internet tradition (say in IRC) so it was easy to think he is an admin/mod. Even if + is used maybe it could be used as an affix, instead of a prefix..
