I deleted all VBB files on mistake and without backup had to do a fresh install of VBB. After the install users can no longer search past threads, they are in archieve and cannot search. How can I make it so users can search all posts even from the past before the update??

Also how can I disable all forum searches? It says searchintro template but where is that?

You need to reindex your searchindex table. Follow the instructions for upgrading.
