Any page that doesn't have that golden lock icon I just turn away from, if it's asking for CC numbers.

Even if it has the lock, don't go to it. I can easily make a page that shows the lock.

Unless it's from a URL of exactly ebay.com, don't go there. Remember, eBay will never e-mail you asking for such information.

That is so lame... I hate when people try to do this. The sad part about it, is the computer illiterate probably fall right into this trap. Oh well, I hope somebody has reported them by now.

All I needed to do was get a domain and then an SSL certificate (about $100). The initial costs would be way covered by the fraud that would ensue.

If you'd read or search my forums, you'd know that that was repeatedly mentioned and repeatedly stated that it would be fixed in the next design of WDF...
