Want to get rid of the "IP: Logged" but... · **Released**: 06-06-2003

...is this the only way to get a poster's IP? I still want to have access to their IP, but I don't want to have that annoying text anymore. Is this okay to do?

BTW, while I'm on the topic...How do I make it so only admins can see the "Edit" button below each post?

you may want to install logicians template conditional hack

Open : PostBit > postbit_ip_hidden
Make the whole template

Code:

IP: <a href="postings.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=getip&postid=$post[postid]">Logged</a>

to

Code:

<a href="postings.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=getip&postid=$post[postid]">IP</a>

that will take out the logged

and make the IP the link
change the template how you want it

you can even get a picture in by changing the IP text with an imagetag

If you dont want any ip symbol in your postbit take out

Code:

 | $post[iplogged]

from the posbit template

and then check the whos online or go to the user in cp to veiw ip

That won't show the IP of a specific post.
