"X people currently in Chat" on forumhome
Hi,
I am trying to diplay the total number of people who are in my chat room on the forumhome, beneath the currently online bar. Currently I have the chatroom setup with a refreshing chat.php in an iframe to return the result that the user is in the room. Therefore on my "whose online" page users in chat are displayed as entering chat! Now how do I get vbulletin to count up the number of people who = "chat" in "whose online" and then display this number on the forumhome (which consists of both members and guests)? And furthermore display their names, if they are members. Is there a simple way? Thanks Kim |

Is this a java chat room, php chat room or other? There are hacks released already for php chat already, not sure about java...

The chat itself is java, but the point is that it is embedded on a chat.php page, so the whos online page reports people in it as "entering chat" as defined in online.php.
I was just wondering if there was a simple way to display number of users who = "entering chat" as already defined in online.php, but on the forumhome? |

Has anyone been able to figure this one out? I'd like to accomplish the similar task. The chat that I'm using is Java-based (from RaiderSoft). I thought that there might be a way to pull data from online.php, but haven't had much luck with it. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Their latest version now has an option to get the JS code and put it on any page of your site.
