Multiple usergroups?
Not sure if this has been made yet or not, but I know it's going to be a feature in vB3. Basically what the problem I'm having now is this. I installed Erwin's form hack today with the idea being that I'd have it e-mail any members of my forums who were in a certain group, that group being reps for the musician whose fansite I run.
What I did was create a usergroup called "Matt Reps" which is just a carbon copy of the "Registered" group except for the title, which is different. The problem now though is that some of my moderators are also Matt reps, and I can't just put them into the "Matt Reps" group as they'd then lose their moderator status. So what I need is a hack to make it possible for a member to be in two or more groups at the same time. Check out this thread for more info: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...t=users+groups Anyone know if something like this exists or if someone would be willing to take a shot at it? Thanks! |

Ordinarily it would be easy, but because vB is so stupidly designed in parts and reliant on hardcoded numbers and values, it's next to impossible without an overhaul.

Aww. So basiscally my only option would be to wait until vB3 is released?
