Is there a hack where attachments dont go into the database?
Hello all
Sorry if there is one already, but I tryed searching the site and i couldnt find one thats let your users upload attachments but they dont go into the database they got into a temp dir or dir that you specify. I need this cause my sites need a place to upload pics, but my hosting company fusses when the attachment database gets to big, i though if there was a hack that uploads attachments to a temp dir i could archive and delete the pictures much easyer. Is this hack or one like this already out? Thanks for you help |

Yes, try searching for attachments as flat files. However it's much more efficient for them to be in the database.

Realistically, if they've properly configured everything, there is no logical reason for them to care. What specifically have they said?
