SSH/Telnet hack (really hard IMO) -> Avatars
I want a hack wich is able to login to SSH or Telnet and gzip a selected package to a selected directory.
The idea for the hack :: Making a page with a dropdown menu wich shows all .tar.gz files in a directory (with avatars) and a textfield where you have to select a directory. After that the script has to gzip the file and put al images in the selected directory AND add them to to database with the tag of: :smileyname.jpg: or something. Im very very unsure if this is able, but if it's able im sure it is hard Good Luck Die Hard's rofl |

I don't believe PHP has gzip (i.e., file) compression built in without an extension so forget that.

You can't really SSH or Telnet through PHP either. But, with right permissions, php can execute shell queries. that means it can access gzip functions and can do what flup requested.
