Colored Names
I know there is a hack on it already, but I got a little request to take it further:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/show...&threadid=43867 What I am looking for is to have those colors appear on the users online list, member list, and when you are viewing the forums. Practically whenever someone's name comes up that has colors on their names. Thanks for your time. |

Sorry, but I just searched the database, and didn't find what I was looking for.
Would you mind pointing me towards the hack? Thanks. Oh and if my request is a bit confusing to understand, just ask, and I'll explain it some more. |

I found one of them the other day ....
I have added the coloured names freature to index.php memberslist.php online.php I have also done similar to the user titles in the threads however i have Administrator - Super Moderators - Moderators - Site Sponsors - Premium Service Providers - Service Providers - Members all of them with different colours .... the last 4 groups are for added usergroups on my site... i modified the first hack that i found and modified it for the other php files, i have attached a screenie Ill tell you what .... if i am permitted i will put the lot together in one release, because i have added the extra usergroups with different colours i think makes the hack different enough from the others to release as a seperate hack |

I've implement such modifcations on my forums, in the following areas - (showgroups, showthread, forumdisplay, online, onlinetoday, whochat, memberlist, and postbit), i'll check to see if i have any others. but, i'll see what I can do about releasing a whole big hack, that would make such modifications to all those areas.
however, i'm still trying to figure out how to make these changes in PM's, Thread Starter, and Last Poster on both the index, and forumdisplay bits. Otherwise, let me see what I can come up with releasing this in a single hack. thanks, Metro. |

Guys, I meant this hack. There was one already made, but the possibility of making it even better would rock.
Here's the coding. Two screens coming up. |

Screen 1 shows those allowed to use these colors to change them whenever they want, in the usercp.

Screen 2 shows what it looks like in the postbit (specified by how the user sets their colors). What I'm asking for is to enhance this, and have these colors show elsewhere, instead of just the view topic page. For example, the color doesn't show on the view forum page (last post/author), memberlist, and the online list.
Metro, I'm not sure if your idea matches the same as mine, but it sounds right. Hopefully the screens and explaination will help out. Thanks. |
