Idea came up...

Is there a hack already released or that can be made where if a style was placed on forum, but only given to select users?

Yes. I have 3 versions.

1. Set a specific style for a usergroup.
2. Set styles available to only users marked premium.
3. Allow specific users to access non-selectable styles.

You can pick the one that is most appropriate for your situation.
