Fixing that XSS bug in VB
Yes, I know just about every post I found on the problem, says to upgrade, and I'm planning to as soon as VB3 is released. I have heard people say that there is a workaround/patch at vb.com in the announcement forum, but the closes thing I could find was this post: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...threadid=57203
that links to another that still didn't fix the problem. Unfortunantly I couldn't run a search at vb.com because XSS is only 3 letters and VB.com requires at least a 4 letter word for the search. Can somebody direct me to the correct XSS thread at vb.com to get a temporary fix for my site? Thanks. |

nope. I already tried that and it didn't fix the error I'm getting in my admin CP. Thanks though. Any other threads? I thought there was one floating around. I heard it was a bug that appeared as soon as PHP 4.2x came out, (if the version number serves me correctly) I just need a workaround to get some other stuff to work and to hold me off until VB3 is released. |

Upgrade to vB 2.3.0 - the fix changes quite a few files.

Well my ability to upgrade has expired, and I wasn't planning on upgrading until VB3, since it will most likely take quite a while to upgrade my site. I doubt my site can be upgraded and working exactly the same in 30 minutes (like some tutorial stated) I was hoping to get this quick fix to more or less hold me off until VB3 is released. |
