Is there such a hack? Something that runs in your task bar and lets you know when there's new threads or whatever.. I'm just looking for a taskbar ticker of some sort. I already saw the Desktop vB hack but I want something for my taskbar

I think the client-side aspect of this has been researched to death, at least with Visual Basic; the consensus was that it was pretty hard to do unless you were a Windows API god.

i aint even got 500 members but i know there would be a hell of alot of ticking for something like that
