I'm going to try to learn how to hack vB but I need some references (books, sites, etc.) to learn if anybody know any good references please help me ok

@Skyrender: Dpcows is right, the best way is using hacks from here, try to understand how they work and then try to modify em to get experienced...

learning by doing is always the fastest way

There are no vB hacking books. You could buy some PHP books and learn. After all vB is powered by PHP and MySQL :ninja:

That is what I mean. Xenon, I've already tried to learn from other vBulletin hacks but I just don't get it :-/

Xenon: If a person is new to PHP, they need to know some PHP before they can read vB hacks and files like their first language.

I can recommend any book from www.wrox.com, get Beginning PHP 4 .

@N9ne: nope, i've never heard of PHP before i worked on vb.
All my PHP i know from vb hacking, i just read a book long time after my first hacks to get some special knowledge to some functions...

That's fine, but maybe you were lucky that you got hold of the way PHP works first time, but for most a book or some form of educating, is required...to get the basic idea!
