Darren Lewis' hack is great - but his chdir bit is really messing up my code which displays a poll.

Can someone please explain to me what I have to do?

I've tried almost everything, and him not guaranteeing support doesn't help much :/

does it just do a chdir then include a file or what? a link to the hack might help

There. It chdirs the forum folder, then includes the global.php file.

After that no-one can make it chdir other paths. My poll depends on it!
