I originally posted my issue here but Steve Machol referred me to vB.org. Anyone can help with this? I'm running vb 2.3.0

Change your templates or your query.

You mentioned a custom register on your forum, so i don't know wich one, or how it works

I will post the original thread here for simplicity:

#1 (me) - I would like to setup the red marked options as default for all new members (see image below). As per another posting, I did change the template "modifyoptions" to checked (for the desired radio buttons) but new members still default to the values seen on the image. Any suggestions?

#2 (Steve Machol) - You need to make these changes to the registeradult template.

#3 (me) - Yes, I figured that out after posting. But... the problem is that I've setup a non-vB script to sign-up new members (paid membership). This script adds a user / email directly to the vB tables therefore users don't go through the vB registration process. Later on, they can go and change the settings through usercp but I'd like to have those specific options default to those values.

Given that, is there a way I can make vB default this specific options to my desired values? php changes perhaps?

#4 (Steve Machol) - You'll need to ask about this over at the hacking site - vbulletin.org.

I am using a signup script that creates a user (username / email /password) directly to the vB tables. It's for paid subscription to vB.

Once a prospect has made a successful payment, the script uses the provided username / password / email to create a new acct. in vbulletin. All registrations will be paid. Therefore, all users will use this script (for registration) instead of vbulletin's.

I guess that... the problem here is that I'm not using the standard vbulletin registration process which defines those user options. My script only specifies the username / password / email and vB defauts this other data (see picture) to "no" or blank? in the tables.

Is there a simple way of telling vB I want those user options default to yes if no data is provided when the user was created?
