dhtml popup nav bar that just wont stay in the right place

here is a link. on the left hand side you will notice a vertical bar. hover over it and out pops up links to parts of the site I didnt want to link to on the forum itlself. Well that works fine. Though if you scroll down, I have shoutbox installed and it also appears there. I do not know javascript which is what this hack is. So I come to you, how can I get this pop up menu not to populate the shoutbox?

I went through the authors site where he shows the code he has written and saw no licenses or warnings bout redistribution but if the mods find something out of place feel free to deltete the link and please let me know. I wouldnt want to take somethign that doesnt belong to me...
