In the hacks database when you go to A Hack that is Full Realeased, it has a button that says Install this hack. What exactly does that do?

It adds you to the list of people who have installed this hack.

It lets the author of the hack know that people are installing his/her hack on your forums.
This means that people like what the author has created.
This means that he'll usually be happy to create more hacks.

Also a record of the number of hacks you have installed is kept in your profile.

Hehe, I've seen alot of people who thought that link installed the hack for them.

Also you will get emailed if the hack is updated to a new version etc
