Anyway this ID I want to get added to a url such as http://bleh.bleh.com?userid=1 for user 1 How can I do this on vb - I want to make it a link too. *Also* under each name on the forum (where there is a email, www, pm, profile links) I would like another one called idratings I have the image but how do i implement this? any help would rock! |

You can do this without hacking.
Go to: Admin CP -> User Profile Fields -> Add Title - ID Description - Anything you want Field Required - No Field Hidden on Profile - Yes Field Editable by User - Yes Click Save. Then on the next screen, find "ID", and put your mouse cursor over the "Edit" link. The number at the end of the URL in the status bar is the custom profile id number - write this down. After this, to make this as a link in the forum in the user's posts, do this: Go to: Admin CP -> Templates -> Modify ->Show All -> Postbit Modify the postbit template: Find: Code:
$post[buddy] Code:
$post[buddy] <a href=http://bleh.bleh.com?userid=$post[fieldx]>ID Ratings</a> A link called ID Ratings will appear in the posts of users. Replace ID Ratings with the image if you wish. |
