I'd like to write a shell script that automatically makes posts on my forum for me (using my username/password) once a day or so. However, my forum is configured to not allow guest viewers (you have to log in in order to even see the forum), so I'm wondering how I can "auto-login" using my script, given that I know the username/password, of course. Is this possible?

You don't need to touch the forums, just create a shell script that runs and INSERT query directly on your MySQL database.
