Default Vbulletin 3.0 ?

What's the deal with this?

Do we have to re purchase something?

Is it supposed to have something hella new/great/different?

I'm hella curious and anxious to see stuff on it...

vb.com is using vB3 now, so you can see how it is.

The screenshots are beautifull...wow.

Now, this looks like a huge change, what will it invole to upgrade? Is this going to be an entirely new install and board or is this a typical upgrade, I am so scared, I have never done an upgrade, I started at 2.2.6 and have been scared because I don't want to redo the hacks.

What is the easiest, and best way to upgrade and keep your hacks?

Lots of questions! HELP! haha.

you will overwrite alot of your hacks because you are updating code. If you want to be safe make sure you have copies of all your hacks. it's really not a difficult process, and I am in no way a programmer. the fear is more in the fact you havent done it. if you saw it done, or gave it a shot you would be stunned exactly how easy it really is.

the VBulletin programmers understand that most people dont have a friggin clue about that stuff so they do all the hard work for you.

you eventually wont have much of a choice but to upgrade Flup. Once VBulletin 3 goes final they will stop supporting VBulletin 2 shortly thereafter.

The support of vb2 will end in the future, when the majority of support questions is for vb3 (so most use vb3)

but there will be as much hacks as there were for vb2, so you surely will upgrade in the nearer futur or in the further...

yeah i was pretty sure that they stopped supporting it at some point in the future. After DrkFusion responded I went and checked with someone on the VBulletin team and they confirmed they would stop supporting it.
