In the privatemessage table there's userid, fromuserid, and touserid. from and to are obvious, but what's just plain userid?

The 'userid' of the person that has the PM stored under their account.

When I was making an administrator auto pm system for the store at a site, I was wondering the same thing.

that's not enough, as you know if a sender also saves the pm, you have to entryies with same from and to id's but where should vb know on which account the pm is?
