Announcements as new posts

[Smoothie]

This is my second request for this, the first one went unanswered. Basically, just want announcements to show as a new post. Click View New Posts, see new announcements/posts since your last visit. Is this possible?

hmm, it's possible, but it would require more than just a small hacking to search.php and also new templates and so on.

and search.php is one of the files which is very confusing

is it included in vb3?
maybe there seach.php is more understandable (i hope )
