Basically, this simplifies the registration page into entering just your password, user-name, and e-mail address. What it does is create a pop-up window with the quick-registration and pops up if the visitor viewing your forums is not recognized to have an account.
If you don't want it in a pop-up window, simply, when you open the *.txt file attached to this post, copy the HTML code I give you for the pop-up window, rip out the code starting with <form> and ending with </form>, then place it somewhere in the unreg template.
You can see an example of the popup here: http://caz.psyker.net/
I don't mind if you test the register out by creating a new account, but I do ask that you don't flood my board with useless and blank ones...I don't enforce e-mail protection on my board, so please don't abuse this.

This isn't a hack...hence the "Template Modification" forum. Aside from that, this is very easy to "install," and doesn't require unnecessary altering of PHP files.
I have a feeling he edited PHP files just so he could place it in the "Full Hacks" forum...
Plus, I setup a pop-up window to target unregistered (as well as logged-out) users.
I must say this is a very cool template modification
I myself wont install it as a i hate pop-ups of any nature but i'm sure that a lot of people will find this useful.
Thanks for sharing it
________
Btw can i make a suggestion about your forums... You have the top buttons saved in the *.png file extension. May i suggest you change them to gif's because gif's are of a smaller size and take less time to load

Thanks for the suggestion...but, while I think it's clear an 8-bit gif is a smaller size than a 24-bit png, I'd also like to inform you that an 8-bit png is smaller than an 8-bit gif
But, if they were loading slow for you, I suppose I could simply convert them to 8-bit. That'd half the loading time.

OK man,calm down.
Just merely pointing out that someone else has done a similar hack, whether it be PHP or template.
