Can anyone please refer me to some very useful books for a beginner. Stuff that has become in use in the past.
I am really looking to enlarge my knowledge of programming, and I am pretty sure C is the place to start. Thanks-Arunan |

C for Wrox is ok-ok, not that great but try "C How to program, Introducing C++ and Java" Third Edition by Deitel & Deitel.. Many sites spoke highly about that book so I bought it and it s great!

I asked my bro to get me one, he is studying to be a software engineer and he has all these books, they actually threw me off track.
Thanks GoldKnight and n9ne |

Any book by Sams Publishing rocks. http://www.sams.com/
Have books on C++, Visual Basic, and PHP by them and all are great.
