Depends on the hosting plan

Once I get really close I'd start nuking old attachments, not old posts

LOL I have an 80 gig hard drive on my server but the dbase is so huge now (480 meg)

aranoid: the server seems really slow lately. I'll try your suggestion and do the attachments . Thank you :banana:

Well, no advertisment, but you can try to use my Archiv hack.
it compresses old posts, so instead of pruning, i'd use this
