hey guyz

sorry for posting a request when i have only had a licence for a few days but this idea i have has been buggin me.

is it possable so that when u click on Veiw New Posts u also see the text of the post as well as the Thread ,Thread Starter ,Forum Replies ,Views ,Last Post ?

i tried hacking a newsportal hack but i could only get it to show the last X amount of posts instead of the post that were made scince your last visit.

the other downside to the modified newsportal hack is that i couldnt get the user permissions to work and this is why i am asking can it be done by hacking the search.php file coz the user permissions are already set.

BTW this idea comes from the Veiw Last 10 Posts bit that is built into YaBB and i think it is an easyer way to view new posts that having to click on each thread title to view it.

There are a few hacks that you can install that does this already. Check out the hacks by TECK, especially his vBHome Lite, a portal hack for vB.
