For some reason I can't access the username variable in showthread.php. I've been editing the templates here and there to include a violator much like the one that comes on the default forums homepage - "welcome back $username".

It works on all pages so far, but for some reason it doesn't work on showthread.php - even though I am logged in with cookies.

Any ideas why?

try

$bbuserinfo[username]
