scsa20 msn hack- need some help

i did all the file edits correctly and even double checked them. my problem is on the postbit when you are looking at a post and the little icons for msn are there (add a buddy + chat with buddy) you click them and i get a javascript error code. the code thats supplied for the template you make (msn) was all wrong. the images would not show up or anything. i am a newb when is comes to doing this but i did get the images to show, but the pop ups still dont work? i am always getting errors on the page.

here is what the instructions say to put in the template msn,

the way i got the images to work is buy removing a couple of the \ . but its still not working properly.

i have seen one of these hacks working. i am not sure if its this one but its the only one i can see that comes close. the board i saw it on... it works flawless? its working on vbulletin v2.2.6 witch is not to far from v2.2.8?

this is driving me crazy! if anyone has a working hack for this, could you please let me know? i have been staying up late and searching all over vbulletin.org for a answer but nothing?

i changed the text from admin/user.php to mod/user.php because i could not find those two edits in the admin/users. but they were in the mod/user.php so i gave it a shot. and someone did mention to try it on mod/user.php.

all other file edites when perfect.

ok, after going through eerything with a fine comb. i got it working.. somehow

is there a way to add this to the memberslist? i made a field for it in the memberlist template. but on the memberslistbit i put

$userinfo[msnicon] and nothing shows up? no images?
