Finally

I finished my manual upgrade from vB 2.2.6 to 2.2.8 today!

Ive uploaded all my files, and all of the hacks appear to work (still)

Its a long and arduous job, and I dont recommend anyone else doing it unless they have to (Or want to - Crazy fools! )

The thing is hellsatan, not everyone installs as many hacks as you on average, I think people only tend to install 10-20 hacks, not into triple figures

That is probably true

There are probably some modifications / hacks that dont work, I have just yet to find them

chris, a good tip to update really fast a hacked board is to do a compare between the original files.
grab a copy of your 226 (clean fresh, as you download it from vBulletin) and the new 228. then compare them. every time you see a code change copy it and paste it onto your hacked board.

in this way, you are sure you didnt missed anything.

Hey Hell Satan, try Araxis merge, Ive never used it, but I saw a tutorial for it somewhere here.

Seems like it would do the job, but since youve upgrades, lets jut scratch that.

@TECK - Thats exactly what I did...

The only change I missed out on was the change regarding how attachments were stored on the DB, cause, well, I use PPN's "Attachments as Files" hack
