Calling to getpagenav()

I want to call to getpagenav() from a page not located in the forums. I have included the global.php and can call to the function but I recieve a parse error.

My objective it to have paging for our Scripts section that uses the vB templates and user options. Is it possible?

getpagenav is primarily used for showthread.php templates. If you want to have a navigation bar below your header, then simply copy the <!--- Breadcrumb ---> code block which is in most templates, and use that but modifying it's contents.
