</form> tags

didn't know where else to put this...

something that's always stumped me about </form> tags, is that, no matter what i do... the ending form tag always takes up a line of space on the viewable page. Doesn't matter if i put it at the end of another line, on it's own line, or at the beginning of another line.

Inside a table, it does the same thing. I've tried limiting it's size with tags, and outside tables, but it doesn't work. There's got to be a way to stop the tag from taking up so much space.

Anyone understand what i'm talking about?

A trick to avoid this.

Place the < form> tag before the < td> or < tr> tag, and the corresponding < /form> tag AFTER the < /td> or < /tr> tag. That would get rid of the extra line.

don't do it like that... instead try...
