"Real" user stats hack

Hi all.
Im looking for a hack similar to all the RPG hacks in here.
But i want it to actualy read a HTML file or Mysql DB.
Im in a Seti@Home team and we have a stats program that creates HTML pages every hour.

This is what it creates

And i would like a feald in the CP were my users can add ther Seti username.
And then i want VB to read the HTML file and type how many "workunits" the user have done under "posts".

I know this may sound like a special hack but most games have some kind of stats software that creates HTML pages.
So for other games it could display how many fraggs or what ever.

1st question: you can create a custom profile in the admin cp for users to enter their name without hacking.

2nd question: i am not to sure how seti statistics work. is there an actual page that shows just the users seti count, without all the graphs etc? because it would be pretty easy to do if this was so.

Well i did some reaserch in the DB.
And it looks realy nice.
So this is what i need.

1. A new text field in CP to add the "username" in ( I can do that ).

2 Then i need to add two rows of text under the vbb username when they post on forum. One that displays "rank" and one for "WU?s".

That info is in a Mysql DB and i can add it to the vbb DB.

The DB table is called "stats_individual"
And it looks like this:

So i need the hack to find the user in "name" and display "rank" and "tot_wu"
