Session Errors
Can anyone please tell me why I am getting the following error (and, hopefully, how to fix it) now when I try to use the Open/Close Thread in the Admin Options in a thread area?

Upgrade to 2.2.7 fixes that, its caused when our IP changes between clicking. Usually AOL users get that because they are the worst at it. The users IP changes as the proxy changes on each request.

But it used to work fine. I'm running 2.2.5 so upgarding to 2.2.7 would be a nightmare with all of the hacks I have installed, wouldn't it? Would upgrading the sessions.php help at all?

Can you just upgrade sessions.php with any of the 2.2.x versions and be ok?

Try checking through the vBulletin.com Bug forums for information. If it is an extensive fix, though, you may be out of luck.

It's not vB's fault. AOL recently released a new browser that does sessions differently, and is not compatible with vB 2.2.6 downwards causing problems with polls and with certain mod functions.
Upgrading to 2.2.8 will fix this. To change it manually is too hard since a new table is made and cookies are handled differently. |

Btw, it is only a problem with the AOL browser. AOL users can use IE to browse your site as a short term fix.
