Spammers using my forum!

Hi all

Wonder if anyone can please help me, I got a few people joined my site and I know that they are going though my members lists and another parts of the site looking for email address's.

I know who these people are but can't ban them as they have not done anything publicly wrong. Is there anyway of say making a user not be able to view members www (websites) via profiles?

Create a new member group and put the truoble makers in it. Give them the access you want (access to forums, etc) but make it so they can't view profiles of other members.

Just ban them, better then moving the few into usergroups. Its better off, remember the privacy of your members is the first thing

If I had such thing on my board, I would ban them.

dosent vBulletin load a email form so you cannot see a users email adress?. at any rate, i would just ban them, member safety comes frist.

Indeed it does, the email address added to that field isn't ever displayed to the user unless you have modified it so it does.

from looking at your forum version it sys 2.0.0, i'm not sure if you are able to look at emails in that version, but if it bugs you too much, just upgrade to 2.2.x, that way problems solved

I'd ban them or you could just change their passwords and remove one letter in their email addy so they can't have it sent to them LOL :rambo: I acually have a forum named Trollzville I send those kinds too
