is it possible to upload my backed up dump.sql database without a shell account? i only have access to ftp.. or phpmyadmin.. urgently help needed.. nowadays so hard to find webhost with shell account

upload it via ftp (ascii mode), then use phpmyadmin to restore it (I think it has an option to do that from a file already on your account?)

How big is your backup file? If it's small, just upload it direct to phpmyadmin for it to restore.
