Hi all,

After recent hackings carried out on people i know, i thought i would be safe and install a firewall. However it is all very new to me, and im not really sure how to use it. I think i have it going correctly, what it does it everytime i open a new application i get a popup message asking me if i wish to continue with the application. Is this basically all a firewall does? Or is there more to it that i don't know about?

Any help would be appreciated

ZoneAlarm blocks incoming and outgoing network traffic unless you explicitly grant it.
