Moderate New Threads but not Replies

I would really like to see this hack. Does anyone know how to do this?
I made a tutorials forum on my site and I want to moderate new threads. But I dont want to moderate replies.

Can anyone help. I will be willing to pay $ for someone that can write this hack or help me out.

save your bucks to something worth paying, here you go:

edit newthread.php, find:

PHP Code:

$visible=iif($foruminfo[moderatenew],0,1); 


After that add:

PHP Code:

if ($foruminfo[forumid]==X) 
{
$visible=0;
} 


(REplace X with forumid you want moderation)

If you don't want to moderate replies in ANY forum, there is an easier way that means you won't have to edit every time you add a new forum that you want to moderate threads in.

In newreply.php

Find:

PHP Code:

$visible=!$foruminfo[moderatenew]; 


Change to

PHP Code:

$visible = 1;

I dont find the line in reply.php

$visible=!$foruminfo[moderatenew];

I would be surprised if 6 year old information (probably for vB 2) would still work on your current version.
