[Dyntheos]

These are the official forums of Relic Entertainment the makers of the game Homeworld.

Currently there are 4 skins that are used on the forums.

2 are pretty much default skins with a few color shifts. The default Classic Yellow skin, and the NSP3, skin are your basic skins, however the Purplehaze skin is a slight modification, splitting up the forum home to incorporate a shoutbox and user info down the right hand side.

The last skin is the real reason I am posting this topic. I have spent several days skinning this, probably over 60 hours all up, and it is designed to reflect the user interface for Homeworld.

This is the Homeworld skin.

Of note in this skin are the fading on most of the buttons, including the postbit, and the clear shoutbox at the top of the forum Home. Messages are scrolled with this shoutbox using the two blue arrows below it.

The Homeworld skin is a fixed size skin of 800 width which allowed me to fully skin just about every cell within the forums. Also used in the Homeworld skin is the revolving logo hack that changes the logo to feature different ships within the game.

The post bit was originally fully skinned aswell but limitations on large posts forced me to give up on this and go for a partially skinned postbit instead.

There is a quick skin changer at the bottom of the forums to browse the skins quickly.

The test account after login will take you to the Homeworld skin straight away tho, unless someone before you changes that.

I don't recall seeing a skin-changer on the NSP3 forum home template, shouldn't there be one for consistency's sake?

I like the Purple Haze and Homeworld skins the best. Congrats, the whole forum is very well done.

I have removed the account Bob as someone was posting with it.

The Skin changer is there at the bottom of the NSP3 skin Arkham.

Homeworld was released about 3 years ago. You could probably pick up a budget gamers copy in any EB store. The sequel to the game is being released next year.

I have added a new skin called iCreatures, pretty much as modded as the Homeworld skin.
