i just got an email from one of my friends telling me about a NEW virus. the message is fowarded like that:

Hello,
Please check your systems.
I don't know what this was, but I followed the directions and found what was described here. We just received notification that our address book had been infected by a virus (called jdbgmgr.exe) not detected by Norton or McAfee antivirus systems. The virus stays dormant for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by the Messenger and by the address book, whether or not you send emails to your contacts. We checked, found it, and deleted it without damage to our systems. The instructions are below.
1. Go to Start, Find (or Search) option
2. In the Files/Folders option, write the name jdbgmgr.exe
3. Be sure you are searching your hard drive [usually C:]
4. Click "find now"
5. The virus has a little bear as an icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe. DO NOT OPEN IT.
6. Right-click on the icon and delete it. It will then go to the Recycle Bin.
7. Go to the recycle bin, find the file, and right-click again to delete it there as well, or empty your bin.

IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS YOU MUST CONTACT ALL PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOKS SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR OWN SYSTEMS.

THIS IS A HOAX!!! DO NOT DELETE YOUR [HIGH]jdbgmgr.exe[/HIGH] FILE ORELSE YOUR PC WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY ANYMORE!!!
Jdbgmgr.exe, is a java debugger manager. It is a MS file that is added when you install Windoze.

Make sure to email all your friends about this issue, the pranker will not get us, the vB.org people are smart.

OMG, someone has actually took the time to translate this to spanish and started spamming everyone with it >_< We recieved it, but of course we didn't deleted it as it wasn't comming from an offcial security source. Thx nakkid.
