Design Contests? · **Released**: 05-01-2002

How do people here feel about design contests? I need a couple of stylesets, including buttons and graphics (not logo), and would like to have a contest to get them done. I am thinking $50 for top one or two submissions, and $20 for any additional ones I want to use. Thi si not amoney making site, but there MAY be future opportunities to resell these stylesets to others.

There are a few unique design considerations, but nothing difficult.

Prizes too low? Whole idea too boring? WInner would also get some free advertsing on our site, and be able to use us as a portfolio site for the visual design.

If you hold this contest at SitePoint you will get loads of submissions.

I don't think many designers hang out here, this is a place for the geek coders.
