I have done that and for just placing the username and amount of referers do I place this in the temp:

Top referrer of this forum: XYZ with 20 referals

Top referrer of this forum: <b><a href="member.php3?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=getinfo&userid=$ref[userid]">$ref[username]</a></b> with <b>$ref[referrals]</b> referrals
