i see the hard work that mods and admins put into it here at vB.org.
i also see that alot of people only want to get the hacks or support of their installation and that's.... ALL!!

how can we make better this community if we don't get involved more?
the guys at vB.org came with all kind of good ideas and tools to stimulate your brains, but you just sit in front of your computer and don't care...

DID YOU EVER HEARD ABOUT THE [HIGH]HACK OF THE MONTH[/HIGH]??? OR SITE FEEDBACK??
why people you don't want to interact??
those people sweat every day to make it fun and challenging here and YOU dont even bother to do a simple vote or interact with the site...

is been 2 days since nobody posted a vote for HotM!!!
i wonder why firefly or other admins bother to come up with good ideas like that. hell they strugle every month to get the 5 most named hacks...

i placed a link in my signature hoping that people will bother to click, because i post alot here. nope.

the whole point of Vb.org is that its a hack site, so alot of the traffic only wants to get in, and out with a hack they need, its still farly new compared to something like ubbdev, give it time and it will grow, more people will come and more chat will take place along side some [better wash my mouth][better wash my mouth][better wash my mouth][better wash my mouth][better wash my mouth]in hacks. mabey adding some more "non" hacking and code forums would help, like a webhosting forum, one for community development etc.

the community here is stronge and will become stronger if you alllow it time to grow and prosper (sp? Oo).

some people just cant be bothered with chating, they have a site and forum to mantain. its hard to base a community when so much of iit is based on hacking and suport.

maybe i'm wrong when i say that 11,000 members is a small community. i just see alot of people that dont care about other's work.. that's all. we all love it when PPN, firefly, fredie and other good ones help us with code.. but when thay start something cool, we dont bother even to commend them in their efforts. that's all i have to say.

Look, I love a big stick as much as the next guy, but come on, man -- where's the carrot? You may be right, but you aren't going to win friends and influence people with that diatribe!

The bright side is that this forum is more active than it ever has been. A year ago, I thought it was more or less dead, and now there's all sorts of activity. Just chill, hombre.

sure you are right, everyone loves it when a new hack comes out

, i do get wat your saying, people think its their job to release hacks left and right for vB, when really they are doing it on the own time. but i dont think flaming is the way to get people to post more, make them fell welcomed and they will come ^_^ . also say you just paid for your vB, dident know anything about hacks. saw the old forum at vB.com that says come here, you might asume that its just a hack site and not a community of people helping each other out with their problems, mabey if the site was expanded a bit it would drive more disscusstion. anyone thought about doing a online magizine to review products, new versons of vB and hacks or something of that matter?

matt my intention was not to flame people... trust me. but i think you know me enough from here.. i get excited and sometimes the words flow and flow and flow because i put passion on what i say.. you should see me when i convince someone at work that they made a mistake by installing this piece of hardware or software..

anyway, the idea is not to take in the wrong way. that's all.
and honestly i dont worry about my attitude, people know me a little crazy but with alot of respect for who deserve it (and i dont reffer to firefly & co., but people like me and you, here at vB.org)

I think you'd probably agree though that once you put passion in print, it's easy to have your message taken the wrong way.
