Auto Archiving Threads?
Is there a way to automatically close threads (make them read only) after a pre-defined time limit, say 30 or 60 days? This would serve to stop any replys to those older posts. Maybe instead of displaying both the "Closed Thread" and the "New Thread" buttons on those older posts, just show the "New Thread" button? Sort of an automatic archiving system.
Any ideas? |

I have searched high and low for something that will auto close a thread after a certain amount of replies... maybe the poster can set the maximum replies when posting the thread, there have been a lot of different variations requested for a hack of this sort. I'm sure if a hack appeared with the following attributes it would very popular indeed.
Auto-Close Thread Hack
Additional options which would be nice: Auto close/nuke if title contains specified words (something like this is around, would be nice to have it integrated. |
