caching

This is the first time I ever ask its been a real pain in the ass and I dont know whats the problem... I want to disable page caching because when i submit a form it shhould show a list of stuff.. but it remains the same until i refresh it .. i know it was done in vB and i tried to take that code but it still didnt help me.. here what i tried to put in the page that is being included at the beggining (like in vB global.php)

tried this:

and this

and still i had to refresh the page to see the newly added item.
