Hi and thanks for looking at my post

Can someone please tell me - is it possible to set up a vbb forum for testing hacks etc before putting them on the main forum as it were eg:

main forum: guesswho
testing forum mrtest

If so what ids the best way to do this please..... so that one does not interfere with the other :ermm:

use something like the template system with your .php files.. so once you are done testing it you can set it back to the default.

I have templates etc.....

The problem is - when i do some hacks i get errors (newbie lol) so it would have been nice i thought. if it was possible to set up another vbb forum on the same server. As like a sub dir, just for testing hacks etc.. before they are put on the main forum.

If you seee what I mean ?!?!?!?

I do but you need another vbulletin licence to do that. you can only have one vb running for every licenece. Thats why you make a template like system for the php files... which might be a pain to make since you need to right back and forth to the files.

You are allowed to run a test system as long as it isn't publicly accessible.

Thats what i would like to do then, so what would be the best way of doing it please.

I have my main forum (which I paid for licence by the way lol) but all I would like to do is create a 2nd hidden one just for testing.

Will not be used for any thing else - all I'd like to do is test in for eg mrtest forum, ensure it works okay then use in my main forum.

Ask firefly or one of the other mods / creators if you can run a beta forums.

Ehh, it's a known fact you may run a testing board to test hacks and templates, as long as it's not used for anything else nor accessible by anyone other than yourself.

Heck I think I run about 4 boards locally...
