changing the usertitle for unregistered users from the default 'guest'

i am using version 2.2.4 and i have found posts indicating that this can be modified in the showthread.php file but when i did a search of the file, i could not find the value 'guest' listed anywhere and i even manually looked, going line by line and failed to find it...

i would really like to customize this title since i allow unregistered users to post in certain areas of my board and 'guest' just doesn't suit our overall theme...

does anyone know if i am overlooking this of if it is located elsewhere for v. 2.2.4?

nevermind...i went file by file and found the field in the functions.php file...
