strange code in function makenavbar()?

open functions.php and find this code:

this is some old code that was forgotten there by Jelsoft. can we remove it safely? i never saw a folder called cascade since i own a vB licence. let me know please.

Yes you can remove that code... it will never be used anyway unless the user adds &altnavbar=1 through the URL.

hehehe... so what is that cascade thing? i never saw a folder like that..

Probably a leftover from something a dev tried and never got out to the open... I'm think it would have been like this:
