A really time consuming task for me, is to set forum permissions for groups, when the parent forum permissions are diffrent from the subforum permissions.
eg. I have a trade category that has two forums -wanted and for sale. Each of them have three sub-forums for cat. purposes. All users can post new threads in the two main forums, but not in the sub-forums. Threads in the sub-forums can be closed by the owner (item is sold, etc), but not in the main forums. After one week the thread is moved to one of the subforums, by a mod. to accomplish this I had to edit AND set the SAME permissions on : 2x3x3 (forums x sub-forum x user-group) = 18 usergroups needless to say, doing the same thing 18times is no fun at all :dead: ... And this example has a relativly small amount of usergroups / forums. I would love  a hack, or just a mysqld query that would allow me to copy 1:1 usergroup permission settings from one forum too one or more other forums... cheers, |
