I have seen this before, bringing a custom user profile field to the user status under his Location: etc when he posts ... how can I do this ???

Also, I have done the FAQ editor hack but I just realised my FAQ comes up with a blank page instead ... any ideas ?

I also did the attachment viewer hack but it didn't work ... no difference it seemed

Add $post[fieldX] where you want in the postbit. Change X to the correct custom field number.
